Ms Anna Konoplova
Ms Anna's musical journey started since the age of 5 in a group for young talented kids in a music school for gifted children for 9 years in Ukraine. She joined various violin competitions and won several awards during this period.
Following her passion in music, she entered the music college in Donetsk (Ukraine) and received the special president scholarship award and graduated a diploma degree with honour. She pursued further music studies at the Donetsk State Music Academy by Sergey Prokofiev and obtained a bachelor degree with honour and master’s degree in music.
Upon graduating from the Music Academy, Ms Anna was invited to participate in Woman National Chamber Orchestra of Ukraine for tour in Italy.
She had an extensive performing career which includes performing in more than 30 countries in a string quartet, string trio, violin – piano duo and electric string contemporary trio. She collaborated with different music groups touring different destinations in a cruise ship as she worked with Holland America, Celebrity and Carnival cruise line.
Ms Anna is currently teaching violin, violin ensemble, music theory and aural at Phuket School of Music.
Mr Gladwin Pantastico
Mr Gladwin Pantastico studied Classical Guitar under Professor Ruben Reyes at the University of Santo Tomas, Conservatory of Music in Manila, Philippines. He was a member of the premier guitar performing group of the conservatory, UST Guitar Quartet and Guitar Ensemble.
He participated in several classical guitar competitions and received awards including 1st prize at the University of the Philippines “Gitara” Competition by the Spanish Embassy in Manila and 2nd prize at the National Music Competition for Young Artist in the Cultural Centre of the Philippines.
As a soloist, he has performed extensively and participated in various music festivals including the annual “UST Summer Music Camp” and International Guitar Festivals in the Philippines and South East Asia Region. He has performed Castelnuovo Tedesco’s “Concerto in D” with the University of the Philippines Chamber Orchestra and Joaquin Rodrigo’s “Concerto Madrigal for Two Guitars” with classical guitarist Joseph Mirandilla and the UST Symphony Orchestra.
He premiered a work for two guitars by Dr Robert Casteels, Chiaroscuro at the Esplanade Recital Studio Singapore in 2012 and a solo guitar piece by Filipino composer Danny Imson, “On Taking Changes” at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music Concert Hall, Singapore in 2013. Mr Gladwin has also recorded commissioned works for classical guitar by Dr Robert Casteels in 2018.
Mr Gladwin is currently teaching classical guitar and music theory at Phuket School of Music.
