Music Theory is an essential part of music studies. It will help you to understand the components and structure of your pieces and and interpret phrases, harmonies and ideas used by the composer. As you begin to understand more about the structure of the piece, it may give you an idea of what the composer has in mind and you’ll able to analyse as to how the music is constructed. Good knowledge of music theory will help you memorise your pieces faster.
