Mr Keita Suyama
Violin / Viola Associate
Keita Suyama graduated from the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2010 with a Master’s Degree in Viola Concert Performance. During his studies, he was mentored by the world-renowned French violist Bruno Pasquier.
He has served as a violist with the Philharmonisches Orchester Kiel and performed alongside Gidon Kremer and Misha Maisky while with the Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz in Germany.
As a viola player, Keita has performed with ensembles including Re:mix, Re:sound, and the Singapore Lyric Opera orchestra. He was Principal Violist in productions such as L’elisir d’amore by Donizetti (2017), Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev (2017), Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky (2018), and Verdi’s Aida (2018).
Most recently, he performed in Miss Saigon at Marina Bay Sands in 2024.
Mr. Suyama currently teaches violin and viola at Phuket School of Music.
