From the elegance and clarity of the Classical era to the rich expressiveness of the Romantic period and into the rhythmic energy of contemporary works\, the evening offers a compelling musical journey. \nThe first part of the programme features Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Sonata for Two Pianos in D Major\, K. 448\, a cornerstone of the duo repertoire\, followed by Felix Mendelssohn’s Andante and Allegro brillant\, full of lyricism and brilliance. \nIn the second half\, the audience will hear solo performances by each artist: Giorgi Latso presents Frédéric Chopin’s Polonaise-Fantaisie in A-flat major\, while Anna Latso performs selected Intermezzi by Johannes Brahms. The duo then reunites for a varied selection of works\, including Joe Giarrusso’s Serenade\, a special four-hand arrangement of the beloved Theme from Schindler’s List\, and Nikolai Kapustin’s dynamic Sinfonietta for piano four-hands\, blending classical form with jazz-inspired rhythms. \nJoin us for an inspiring evening of artistry and collaboration\, celebrating the rich possibilities of the piano in duet form.
