Dr Marie-Charline Foccroulle

Dr Marie-Charline Foccroulle, Canadian–Belgian pianist and educator, holds a Doctor of Music in Performance from the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, Ireland. She earned earlier degrees from the Hochschule für Musik in Cologne, Germany, and the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec, Canada.
With a distinguished career in piano pedagogy, Dr. Foccroulle has taught in Canada, Belgium, and Germany, integrating music education, performance, and musicology into her teaching philosophy. As an active performer, she has presented solo and chamber music concerts, as well as lecture-recitals, throughout Europe and North America.
Her doctoral research, completed under the mentorship of Irish pianist John O’Conor, focused on the interpretation of Beethoven’s and Schubert’s final piano sonatas—works she has frequently performed in concert.
Dr Marie is currently teaching piano, music theory, and piano accompaniment at Phuket School of Music.
