James Pierre Silangcruz is a passionate and experienced music educator specializing in piano and flute instruction. He holds a Master’s degree in Music Performance (Piano) from the Philippine Women’s University and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from St. Paul University Manila. A licensed professional teacher in the Philippines, Mr. James has over a decade of teaching experience across Southeast Asia, including positions in Thailand, Singapore, and currently at Phuket School of Music.

He has worked with a diverse range of learners—from early childhood and adult students to individuals with special needs—always emphasizing cultural inclusivity and fostering a love for music. Integrating the ABRSM curriculum into his teaching, he supports students in achieving success in both examinations and performances.

As a member of the Piano Teachers’ Guild of the Philippines, he has also performed as an accompanist at international music festivals and recitals.

Mr. James creates engaging, individualized lessons that blend structure with creativity. Fluent in English and certified in modern teaching methodologies, he is dedicated to empowering each student to develop strong technical skills while discovering their own unique musical voice.

He currently teaches piano, music theory, and piano accompaniment at Phuket School of Music.
