Alexandra Yegorova is an accomplished pianist and dedicated piano pedagogue with over a decade of international teaching and performance experience. Trained at the Kazakh National University of Arts (Master of Arts in Music) and the Kazakh National State Conservatory (Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance), she combines a strong classical foundation with a dynamic and innovative approach to music education.
Since beginning her musical journey at the age of five, Alexandra has built an impressive performance career as a soloist, accompanist, chamber musician, and piano duo partner. She has earned top prizes in numerous international competitions across Kazakhstan, Italy, and Russia, including the Prokofiev International Piano Competition and the “Russian Seasons” International Competition, where she also received a special award for best performance of Rachmaninoff’s works.
As an educator, Alexandra has taught students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to Master’s candidates, across Kazakhstan, the Cayman Islands, and Hong Kong. Her teaching experience includes preparing students for major international examination boards such as ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall, and LCM, from Initial to Grade 8 and up through professional performance diplomas. She has also taught music theory, delivered masterclasses, lectured on piano history and contemporary clavier music, and served as an examiner for both entrance and final assessments.
A skilled curriculum developer, Alexandra has authored training programs and syllabi for school, university, and postgraduate levels. She continually updates and refines educational materials, integrating new subjects and teaching methodologies to strengthen students’ musical understanding and versatility.
Alexandra believes that teaching and performing are inseparable. Her active performance work enriches her lessons, giving students the opportunity to witness artistic principles in action. She is passionate about inspiring musicians to grow, encouraging them to develop their technical mastery, artistic individuality, and professional confidence. With advanced English proficiency and native Russian fluency, she brings a global, open-minded perspective to every learning environment.
She currently teaches piano, music theory, and piano accompaniment at Phuket School of Music.
